Green beans are a favorite around here - hot, cold and even raw. I wasn't sure the first time I saw this dish - some of the ingredients in the original recipe were a bit uncommon to me. I tweaked it to make it simpler and not only did it get a thumbs up but it has become a regular in the dinner rotation.
To make this even easier you can use washed and trimmed green beans that can be microwaved in the bag. They do cost a bit more but time is money in my book and they make eating healthier easier.
Serve over rice or just plain. This dish re-heats well so it also makes a good meal-prep recipe.
