Reduced Bone Broth makes the "Gravy" in this simple yet classic chicken dish. You will not get the same results if you use regular broth or stock. Bone broth is easier to find now. I find it in my local grocery store. Kitchen Basics make it in a one cup size that is perfect for this dish. Bone broth has more protein than regular broth and has a deeper flavor.

Lemon Chicken and "Gravy"
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup Chicken Bone Broth
- 1⁄4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Pound chicken breasts until even thickness.
- Season the breasts with chili powder, onion powder, salt and pepper on both sides and add to the skillet
- Squeeze 1/2 lemon over chicken or dump in the juice, cooking for 5 minutes on each side.
- Add garlic and chicken broth into the skillet. Cook an additional 4-7 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and broth reduces, flipping chicken breasts after 4 minutes.
