A lemony sauce brightens lightly breaded boneless breasts in this easy weeknight dinner. After eating this dish, you won't miss fried chicken and gravy one bit!

Citrus Herbed Chicken
Ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1⁄2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1⁄4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 1⁄2 cups Chicken Stock
- 1 tsp freeze dried basil
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and pepper in shallow dish. Reserve 2 tablespoons.
- Using a meat mallet, pound breasts to even thickness. Moisten chicken lightly with water. Dredge in flour mixture.
- Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Cook chicken breasts 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown. Cook in two batches if needed. Remove chicken from skillet; keep warm.
- Mix stock, basil, oregano and reserved flour mixture in medium bowl until well blended. Add to skillet, scaping up browned bits.
- Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 2 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened, stirring frequently. Stir in lemon juice.
- Serve sauce over breasts
